One of the most successful games from the GSA region is taking the next step. Giants Software will release Farming Simulator 25 in November 2024, with better technology, more immersion and East Asian agriculture.

Video game developer and publisher Giants Software has announced Farming Simulator 25. The game will be released on 12 November 2024 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The previous entry in the series, Farming Simulator 22, sold over six million copies worldwide. It is one of the most successful game franchises from the region. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, it will be released as usual under the brand name "Landwirtschafts-Simulator".

"Farming is a passion that many people share, both in real life and virtually," says Christian Ammann, CEO of Giants Software. "Farming Simulator 25 expands the series with new gameplay layers and more immersion to dive deeper and become the favourite hobby for experienced farmers and beginners alike. We cultivate this passion by creating a relaxing, family-friendly, community-oriented and rewarding experience for everyone."

Giants Software promises to deliver a host of new gameplay features, technical improvements, maps, machines and even fresh water for rice cultivation, with the aim of increasing farming diversity and immersion for the family-friendly simulation series. Players will be able to explore a new East Asian landscape full of rice fields, a North American environment with lots of open space and a Central European location with green fields between ponds and rivers. Players can grow two types of rice, spinach and other new crops - a total of over 20 - in solo or cooperative multiplayer mode. Buffaloes and other animals enter the stables, while new production chains and construction projects expand business opportunities. Further details will most likely be revealed at FarmCon 24, which will take place on 6 and 7 July at the Fendt Forum in Marktoberdorf.

Over 400 vehicles and machines from more than 150 international brands are included in Farming Simulator 25, among them Case IH, Claas, Fendt, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland and Valtra. Thanks to Asian agriculture, new special machines are expanding the fleet. Simultaneously, technology upgrades with improved graphics and physics based on the modding-friendly Giants Engine 10 are highlighted. These include foggy landscapes, dynamic weather effects, improved shadows, ground deformation and more.

astragon Entertainment is once again the distribution partner in Germany. Simultaneously with the digital release, Farming Simulator 25 will be available in retail stores in boxed versions for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. All physical versions will include the MacDon Pack as a bonus. The Day One Edition is available exclusively from Amazon in Germany and also includes the New Holland CR11 Gold Edition Combine Harvester. A PC-exclusive Collector's Edition has also been presented. It includes a USB car ignition switch that can be used to start the engines of the tractors in the game, a 16-bit version inspired by the Mega Drive, and a soundtrack CD with 15 original tracks by Chris Hülsbeck for retro fans and more.

Founded in Switzerland in 2004, Giants Software is best known for the popular Farming Simulator series - in German: Landwirtschafts-Simulator. More than 30 million units have been sold worldwide since 2008. From the outset, the team enabled users to create mods using the company's proprietary Giants Engine. With the Farming Simulator League (FSL), the series introduced a competitive esports mode in 2019 - with teams competing in professional tournaments. Giants Software has offices in Switzerland (Zurich), Germany (Erlangen), the USA (Chicago) and the Czech Republic (Brno).
