Marsupilami 2 – Salsa Palombia

Marsupilamis are popular fictional creatures from Palombia, a fantasy jungle nation in South America. Created in 1952 by Belgian comic artist André Franquin, the distinctive creature has thick fur with black spots. Visually, they resemble a cross between a monkey and a leopard. They are recognised by their mottled fur, very long tails, and unique language. The yellow-and-black creature originally appeared as a supporting character, but became so popular that it was given its own comic series. This has been adapted multiple times in other media, including the 2D platformer Marsupilami - Hoobadventure. Developed by Ocellus Studio and published by Microids, the game was released in November 2021 and proved so successful that a sequel, Marsupilami 2: Salsa Palombia, is set to follow. Like its predecessor, the game promises fun for all the family.

This 2.5D platform game takes players on a journey through colourful worlds in an attempt to save Palombia from a musical threat. A strange melody has swept across the country, causing all the animals to suddenly start dancing and leaving chaos in their wake. The creature behind this crazy beat is the Mummy Queen herself, who has returned from the Land of the Dead with her minions to play a cursed concert. From the jungle to the bustling city, players must find clues to the Mummy Queen's hideout on their journey through four vibrant worlds — and, of course, it gets more difficult from level to level.

Players can choose from three Marsupilamis: Twister, Punch and Hope, who have different playing styles and abilities. Players can switch characters to soar through the air, punch enemies or leap across obstacles and explore the secrets of the different levels – and there is said to be a hidden level. Whether playing solo or in local co-op mode, players must swing, punch and jump to break the Mummy Queen’s spell. In addition, there are also Battle Dojos, which are challenges and competitive minigames designed for friendly rivalries.

Marsupilami 2 – Salsa Palombia launched 03 September 2026 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam & Epic Games Store as a digital release. CentreSoft will distribute two physical boxed versions for PS5 and Switch in collaboration with publisher Microids.
