As part of these updates, the publisher of AA and indie PC and console titles has appointed Michael Borras as VP of Business Development, tasked with spearheading business development initiatives worldwide. This follows the company's management buyout from the Embracer Group in December 2025.

"I'm thrilled to be joining Arc Games at such an exciting and transformative stage of its growth. The company has built a strong foundation with its portfolio and partnerships, and I see tremendous opportunities to expand our portfolio and global reach even further. I'm looking forward to collaborating with our teams and industry partners to identify new markets, forge meaningful relationships with new partners, and help shape the nett chapter of the company’s strategic expansion as an independent publisher." - Michael Borras, Vice President of Business Development

Michael Borras is joining the company as Vice President of Business Development. He will be responsible for spearheading global partnerships, licensing opportunities and strategic expansion efforts. Born in Los Angeles, Borras has lived in Vienna for over 20 years. He has worked in indie/AA/AAA game development and publishing for decades, starting at Rockstar Games where he worked on titles such as Grand Theft Auto III, GTA: Vice City, and Max Payne. He is also a board advisor to Pragma/FirstLook and has founded several independent game studios that have become part of the Embracer Group, Coffee Stain Group, Dalian Zeus Entertainment and Nexon Korea.

"We're excited to welcome Michael to the leadership team. His incredible experience in global partnerships and business development across the gaming industry will play a key role as we continue to scale our publishing capabilities and explore new opportunities. These leadership updates strengthen our ability to support our teams, grow our portfolio, and deliver an even greater value to our players, partners, and stakeholders." - Yoon Im, Chief Executive Officer

In addition to the newly created position of Borras, other changes and adjustments have been made to the leadership team.

Jason Park, Arc Games' Chief Operating Officer, will oversee the commercial strategy and global distribution of the company's upcoming game portfolio, while also managing day-to-day operations, organisational alignment and process optimisation.

As Vice President of Live Services, Jooyoung Chung will oversee the development of the company's live operations, including strategies for player engagement, content delivery pipelines and community-focused initiatives. This role is essential in supporting the publisher's current and future live service offerings.

In his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Zheng Zeng will oversee the company's technological vision, infrastructure planning and long-term research and development (R&D) efforts.

Arc Games is an independent publisher of AA and indie video games, including premium and live-service titles. It is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area and has offices in Amsterdam and Shanghai. Founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of the Chinese company Perfect World, the company was later rebranded as Arc Games. In 2022, the company was acquired by the Embracer Group and was known as Gearbox Publishing for a time. Since April 2024, it has officially operated under the name Arc Games. In December 2025, it was announced that the company had become independent of Embracer again through a management buyout. The buyer is Project Golden Arc, which is owned and led by members of the Arc Games management team. Cryptic Studios, headquartered in California and known for the MMOs Neverwinter and Star Trek Online, is also owned by Project Golden Arc.

Following the MBO, Embracer and the Coffee Stain Group retained the rights to the online game Fellowship. The publishing rights to the Remnant brand remain with Embracer and will be transferred to THQ Nordic in Vienna, which also holds the IP rights. Arc Games continues to be the co-publisher of both Fellowship and Remnant II.

Upcoming releases from the publisher include Hell Express from Full Metal Bagel Games, a PvE isometric extraction shooter set in a world teetering between life and death, and Order of the Sinking Star from Thekla and director Jonathan Blow (Braid, The Witness), a narrative adventure set in a magical, enigmatic realm with over 1,000 interconnected, hand-crafted puzzles.
