Korean developer and publisher NC America has announced that Mervin Lee Kwai, former Regional Franchise Leader at Amazon Game Studios, will be joining the company as Vice President of Operations in North America. With 23 years' experience in the North American and European gaming industry, Lee Kwai will be leading the global launch of Aion 2 and managing the live service legacy titles Aion, Blade & Soul, and Lineage II. NCsoft has a busy year ahead with the launches of Aion 2, Cinder City, Limit Zero Breakers, and Time Takers.

"Mervin's particular blend of game industry executive skills and deep understanding of MMORPGs in the modern market make him the perfect candidate for NC America's strategic push to deliver our MMOs to the global stage," said Jeonghee "JJ" Jin, CEO, NC America, COO, NC West/Arenanet.

He has also held roles at Sony Online Entertainment, where he was Project Manager on Free Realms and Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, and at Trion Worlds, where he was Executive Producer on ArcheAge and Trove.

"Ever since our very first conversations, joining NC America just felt right," said Lee Kwai. "I already have a strong relationship with the Throne and Liberty development team and look forward to globally launching Ncsoft's upcoming titles, starting with Aion 2."
