A new event for young game workers and those that want to enter the indutry organised by Games & XR Mittelsachsen, MacroMedia Leipzig and Next Level: Saxony! has been announced. Press A To Learn will take place at MacroMedia Leipzig and will teach different areas of game development through talks and workshops by experts. The date is 10 May 2026.

The program currently is as follows (all in German):

  • Jonas Heinke, PlayInsight Studios: Du kannst einfach Dinge tun; Gründe - Games Start-Up in Mitteldeutschland Gründen
  • Marcus Klöppel, Narranauten: Storytelling Workshop “Zwischen Spielmittel und Stilmittel”
  • Daniel Zuther, Level Labs: Die Illusion von Intelligenz: Wie Videospiele Verhalten simulieren
  • Kiran Varanasi, HTWK: 3D-Aufnahmen aus der realen Welt für die Spielentwicklung
  • Isabel Grünberg, Positive Impact Games: Workshop “Transmedia Storytelling”
  • Julien Schillinger, Pandabee Studios: Das Ende im Sinn: Wie ihr mit euren Semesterprojekten ein gutes Portfolio aufbaut
  • Ziad Demir: Game Mechanics: Challenge und spielerische Tiefe

Entry is free, but registration is mandatory. For workshop attendees, a separate workshop registration, also free, is mandatory. All details and registrations can be found on the website.
