Every year, Nordic Game brings thousands of gaming industry professionals together at Slagthuset in Malmö. This year, for the first time, there will also be an Indie Game Showcase on Steam. The Nordic Game Awards will be broadcast live, too.

From 19 to 23 May 2025, the digital showcase will feature almost 70 games from past and present participants of the Nordic Game showcase. "Throughout the week, fans can tune into developer talks and livestreamed sessions from the Nordic Game stages, offering behind-the-scenes insights and creative perspectives from developers behind the featured titles," the organisers say. Finally, the Nordic Game Awards will take place on Thursday, 22 May at 18:30 CEST, marking the first time the show will be streamed directly to the global Steam audience.

"Bringing Nordic Game to Steam opens up an exciting new way for us to connect with a broader, global audience," said Jacob Riis, Program Director and Executive Producer at Nordic Game. "The live awards show and streamed content offer a great opportunity for viewers around the world to experience the creativity and talent that define our developer community - no matter where they are."

Nordic Game is the leading games conference in Europe. Gathering thousands of industry professionals in the spring each year, Nordic Game is the "home turf" meeting place for game developers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The Nordic Game Awards is a collaboration between Nordic Game and the Nordic Game Institute to highlight and celebrate the achievements of developers in the nordic region.
