NG24 Spring Conference Programme Takes Shape
This May, NG24 Spring takes place in Malmö, Sweden, and celebrates its 20th anniversary, so everything will be a little bigger. Meanwhile, speaker list and conference programme are filling up.
Just after Whitsun, from 21-24 May, Nordic Game's NG24 Spring will take place in Malmö, Sweden. After another record-breaking event at Slagthuset last year, Nordic Game returns to this historic location and online, with plenty of opportunities for industry participants to do business, network and share knowledge in person - as well as online via Discord servers and livestream.
Speakers on the conference programme include Pauliina Tornqvist from Meta. She leads Meta's third-party VR game production and is an advocate for diversity, equality and inclusion in the games industry. Valve's Steam Business Team, led by Kassidy Gerber, will give the NG24 Spring audience a lively update on the Steam platform, its features and global trends. Lau Korsgaard, Lead Game Designer at Massive Entertainment, talks about his design process behind the crafting gameplay in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and an unexpected source of inspiration. Funday Games and Ghost Ship Publishing speak about how Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor came to be, how it was developed in record time, and how its successful launch surpassed the original Deep Rock Galactic. The spin-off has now sold over a million copies in Early Access. concert producer and writer Orvar Säfström chats with BAFTA-nominated Finnish composer, musician and producer Petri Alanko about his creative process and the soundtrack for Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake 2. In addition, Lasse Bruun Hansen, Principal Game Designer at IOI, will give a talk on how to inspire curiosity about games and their ongoing iterations, and how to create more scalable productions in less time.
The B2B event marks its 20th anniversary. Over 2,500 attendees have already registered. More than 3,000 attendees are expected this year, compared to 2,780 in 2023 and 2,470 before that. Tickets, event passes and online passes are available at nordicgame.com/registration.
