Gothic 1, 2 and 3 will be available on PlayStation and Xbox for the first time. THQ Nordic plans to release these classic games on a regular basis, starting after the release of the Gothic 1 remake.
In August 2025, THQ Nordic announced the release of the Gothic Classic Trilogy for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, featuring updated controls and full gamepad support. The release dates for the three classic RPGs have now been confirmed.
The first two Gothic games, Gothic Classic and Gothic II: Complete Classic, have been available on the Nintendo Switch since 2023. However, the third instalment is still missing.
According to THQ Nordic, players who pre-order Gothic 1 Remake via playstation.com or xbox.com will receive Gothic Classic digitally at no extra cost. Developed by Alkimia Interactive from Spain and published by THQ Nordic, Gothic 1 Remake is due for release on 5 June 2026.
