AGI Introduces Gaming Insurance and Becomes ESBD's Newest Partner
Avata Gaming Insurance becomes an ESBD partner and announces the global launch of its gaming insurance at gamescom 2025.
Avata Gaming Insurance (AGI) has announced the launch of what it claims is the world's first comprehensive gaming insurance policy. During gamescom, the policy was launched at the E-Sport-Bund Deutschland (ESBD, German E-Sports Federation) network meeting.
AGI's insurance coverage extends beyond the virtual world. This includes protection against hardware damage, liquid spills, account hacking, theft of virtual items and identity fraud. "Gamers inhabit both the digital and physical worlds, and the risks they face are unique," said Sung Feng Wu, CEO of AGI. "With AGI, we provide a safety net that understands gamers and protects the things that matter to them."
Meanwhile, Avata Gaming Insurance (AGI) has formed a partnership with the ESBD. Together, they aim to raise awareness of gaming risks.
Christopher Flato, President of the ESBD, added, "With AGI, we are welcoming a unique partner to the esports and gaming community. Their offering fills an important gap by providing real benefits to our members in Germany and protecting players in ways that were not previously possible. This partnership demonstrates that innovation and player protection can go hand in hand, and we are proud to support the global launch of the first gaming insurance of its kind."
