After more than 22 years, the former Bertelsmann manager and founder of medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V., Bernd Schiphorst, is stepping down as chairman of the association's supervisory board. His successor is Boris Wasmuth from GameDuell, who has been a member of the board since 2014.

This is undoubtedly the end of an era: For more than 22 years, Bernd Schiphorst has shaped the network association medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V. as a founder, for many years as chairman and most recently as chairman of the supervisory board. Now the former Bertelsmann manager and ex-president and until 2022 chairman of the supervisory board of Berlin football club Herta BSC is also stepping down from the supervisory board of medianet.

Schiphorst's farewell is taking place today at the Berlin offices of GameDuell, and not without reason. There will be a passing of the baton, so to speak, as Boris Wasmuth will take over as chairman of the supervisory board of medianet berlinbrandenburg. Wasmuth is the founder of GameDuell and has been a member of the medianet supervisory board for nine years. He is also co-founder of Leader by Climate Action.

medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V. is a networking association for the media, creative and digital industries in Berlin and Brandenburg.
