In the first half of 2025, no game sold more copies in physical retail in Europe than EA Sports FC 25. This was followed by Assassin's Creed Shadows and Minecraft. However, in Germany and Austria, a Nintendo game topped the charts.

EA Sports FC 25 was the best-selling boxed video game in Europe in the first six months of 2025. The football game from Electronic Arts topped the charts in twelve of the seventeen countries surveyed, including Italy, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Spain.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows came second in the six-month rankings, proving particularly popular in France (first place) and Belgium and Finland (second place). The long-selling Minecraft took third place, receiving an additional boost from the cinema release of A Minecraft Movie. Other high-performing games included Super Mario Party Jamboree, which topped the charts in Germany and Austria, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which is set in medieval Bohemia, took first place in the Czech Republic and second place in Slovakia.

These cross-platform, six-monthly game charts were compiled by GfK Entertainment. They are based on sales of video and PC games in the physical market in the following countries: Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
