Plaion has announced four new releases for Atari retro consoles in November. They will be distributed under the new Plaion Replai label, which the publisher apparently launched in the summer to pool its retro activities.

The release of the four arcade classics is scheduled for November 21. Galaga, Pac-Man Double Feature, Dig Dug, and Xevious will be released for the Atari 2600+ and 7800+ consoles, which hit the market in late 2023 and late 2024, respectively. According to the company, they are also fully compatible with the original Atari 7800 system.

"These games aren’t just nostalgic releases, they’re cultural touchstones," said Ben Jones, Commercial Director of Plaion Replai. "With Galaga as our flagship, and PAC-MAN, Dig Dug, and Xevious completing the set, we’re celebrating 1982 as the year that defined the golden age of arcades.  We want fans old and new to unlock that moment in time and experience it all over again on Atari consoles."

The products officially licensed by Bandai Namco are released under the sub-brand Plaion Replai. The name Plaion Replai is new and has only been used by the company since this summer in connection with the marketing of retro hardware and software, when a Pac-Man edition of the Atari 2600+ was announced for the end of October. Another indication that Plaion Replai was introduced as a label name without much fanfare is Ben Jones' job title. In older press releases it was Commercial Director of Retro at Plaion, and not Commercial Director of Plaion Replai.
