Late on Wednesday evening, Sony Interactive Entertainment presented a new edition of State of Play. The 40-minute livestream provided updates on a variety of upcoming PlayStation 5 releases, including Marvel's Wolverine, Saros, Nioh 3, and more.

Yesterday evening, coinciding with the Tokyo Game Show, a new edition of State of Play, Sony's video format for PlayStation news, took place. The 40-minute show featured some of the upcoming highlights for the PlayStation 5 console. Marvel's Wolverine, developed by Insomniac Games, is set to launch on PlayStation 5 in autumn 2026. Housemarque, the developers of Returnal, will release Saros on 20 March 2026 for the PlayStation 5. There were also many third-party announcements from Bandai Namco, IllFonic, Koei Tecmo, Pearl Abyss, and Xbox.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) also plans to launch the Pulse Elevate Wireless speakers in white or midnight black in 2026. As the first wireless speakers developed by SIE (with PlayStation Link connectivity), the PULSE Elevate Wireless speakers integrate seamlessly into a PS5, PC or Mac desktop gaming environment and can be used on the go with a PlayStation Portal Remote Player or smartphone. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the God of War series, a God of War Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller has also been announced. This special edition controller will be available to pre-order from 3 October for €84.99 at direct.playstation.com.
