Ab November will Sony Computer Entertainment America einen Netzwerkadapter für die PlayStation 2 in den US-Handel bringen, mit dem Spieler Games, Musik und Spielfilme verbinden können.

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) plant, einen Netzwerkadapter für die PlayStation 2 auf den Markt zu bringen. Wie das Unternehmen bekannt gab, wird das Gerät im November dieses Jahres in den USA auf den Markt kommen. Damit will SCEA die Möglichkeiten der PS2 erweitern: Künftig könne ihre Nutzer Games mit Musik und Spielfilmen kombinieren. Zudem kann die Spielekonsole per Adapter an analoge Telefonanschlüsse gekoppelt werden. Das ermöglicht den Zugang zu Onlinespielen.
