The Funke Media Group is reorganising its online games magazine. After the rebranding, 4Players.de will simply become 4P. The editorial content will be expanded. At the same time, 4P is differentiating itself from 4Players GmbH with its hosting services and software solutions.

The online portal, previously known as 4Players, has been relaunched by Funke under the new name '4P - Das Spielemagazin' and with a new look. In addition to the rebranding, the magazine will be expanded. More video content is planned, as well as a TikTok channel. A redesigned 4P app is available in the app stores.

"The gaming market is one of the fastest growing segments and is highly attractive for Funke - both from a journalistic and marketing perspective. With our significantly expanded 4P, we are well positioned to further position the portal as one of the most relevant offerings in the gaming sector," says Christian Pieper, Director Content & Data at Funke Digital and operational head of the team. "We are taking on the German gaming market again!" In terms of marketing, Funke continues to rely on an established mix of direct marketing and programmatic sales.

"Our motto is and will remain 'Critical, fair, subjective': We have worked very closely with the community during the reorganisation of 4P and have restructured the service according to their wishes and ideas," says Editorial Director Dana Neumann. Her team now consists of five editors. The journalistic content on 4P.de will be further expanded in the coming weeks. "Our new TikTok channel is the next environment that we will be strategically developing from June onwards to reach the younger gaming audience in particular."
