Digitalna Avantura (Digital Adventures), the Croatian company led by Damir Đurović and organiser of Reboot Develop Blue in Dubrovnik, has been ordered into bankruptcy by the Zagreb Commercial Court according to a report by Croation newspaper Tportal. The company owes 526,303 euros and has been cited before court to pay an advance of 2,000 euros in initiation costs.
Apparently, outside actors can now come in and pay the stated amount to cover the cost of the company. “Given that the debtor does not have assets sufficient to cover the costs of the bankruptcy proceedings, the court called on persons who have a legal interest in the bankruptcy proceedings to pay a deposit within 15 days to cover the costs of the preliminary and open bankruptcy proceedings in the amount of 2,000 euros, for the bankruptcy administrator's fee, accounting costs, archiving the debtor's documentation and foreseeable material costs", Tportal quotes the court decision.
This year’s Reboot Develop Blue had already sold some passes, but closed ticket sales and wide-spreading rumours had led many in the European industry to believe that the event would not be held and would possibly not come back. GamesMarkt had asked for a statement at Digitalna Avantura earlier this month, but has not received an answer.
