Headup and Creactstudios have released the build and race sandbox game Screw Drivers. The game is the first graduate of Headup's Prototype Programme, where players are invited to give feedback on the ideas behind a game based on early prototype versions.

Indie publisher Headup, no longer part of Thunderful Publishing, and development partner Creactstudios have released their physics-based construction and racing sandbox game Screw Drivers on PC via Steam Early Access. The game is free to play. To support development, Headup is offering paid cosmetics-focused supporter packs.

Screw Drivers is the first graduate of Headup's Prototype Programme, where players are invited to provide feedback on the ideas behind a game based on early prototype versions. Headup then takes this feedback into account when deciding whether to greenlight a full release of the game.

Creactstudios, based in Karlsruhe, primarily develops PC, console and VR games. The small game studio from Baden-Württemberg consists of the two founders Simon Blasen and Marc Bendt. Simon Blasen is responsible for management and programming, while Marc Bendt is responsible for sound, game design, music and 2D art. Creactstudios' previous titles include the Cube Racer series, Hotspots Rush and Roopocket.

Headup Games: "In the game, players design and craft wooden racing vehicles from a massive collection of parts, including engines, axles, gears, and more, building the perfect powertrain and aerodynamics to drive their creations. They then race them in single- and multiplayer matchups to earn rank and, in single-player, challenge the island’s racing royalty to unlock newer, more powerful parts!"
