Resident Evil Requiem earned a Game Sales Award in Gold just two days after its release in February 2026. In March, Capcom's survival horror game surpassed 200,000 sales in Germany and was awarded a Platinum trophy. No further awards were presented in March 2026, auch nicht für Marathon, Pokémon Pokopia oder Crimson Desert. These titles could well receive a games sales award in the coming months.
Last year, the association handed out three awards: one to Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed Shadows (Platinum), one to Deep Silver for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (Platinum), and one to Capcom for Monster Hunter Wilds (Platinum).
The game Sales Award is presented by game, the German Games Industry Association, to recognise the best-selling computer and video games in Germany. It is based on the latest sales figures from Video Games Europe's industry panel, GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that sell more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany within the first 12 months of release are eligible for a game Sales Award in the Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum or Multi-Platinum categories.
