Capcom is bringing back another collection of its classic fighting and brawler games. The Capcom Fighting Collection 2 features eight games that were released before and after the turn of the millennium, which have been reworked and improved.

Following the 2022 release of the Capcom Fighting Collection, featuring ten games, and the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics (2024), which includes seven games, Capcom has once again brought together classic games in one package, complete with new features such as online play and quality-of-life updates. This new collection features Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro (2000), Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 (2001), Capcom Fighting Evolution (2004), Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper (Arcade, 2001), Power Stone (1999), Power Stone 2 (2000), Project Justice (2000), and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein (1998). Many of these games are based on arcade versions and will be making their debut on current home consoles. Further information on versions, changes and additions can be found here.

In Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, characters from Capcom and SNK face off in traditional 2D fighting games. In the 3D fighting games Power Stone and Power Stone 2, players can also throw items. Project Justice is the sequel to Rival Schools. This 3D fighting game features 3-on-3 team battles. Capcom Fighting Evolution is a 2D crossover fighting game in which characters from Street Fighter II, Street Fighter III, Street Fighter Alpha, Darkstalkers and Red Earth clash. Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper is an enhanced version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 and the final instalment of Alpha 3. Finally, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein is the successor to Star Gladiator, in which players wield a plasma-powered sword in 3D.

Capcom has revisited and improved all games. All titles now feature online multiplayer functionality with rollback netcode in casual, ranked and custom matches, as well as a High Score Challenge mode. All titles feature a training mode, as well as beginner-friendly features such as adjustable difficulty levels and One Button Specials. Players can save and load their progress almost anywhere and pick up right where they left off. Capcom also promises multiple game versions, hidden characters and fine-tuning of specific gaming features via EX settings for each game. There are also various resolution options, an offline versus mode, Fighter Awards and quality-of-life improvements in all eight games. Nostalgic display filters and customisable buttons are also included. In addition, there is music (over 300 tracks) and art galleries (over 700 pieces of artwork).

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was released on 16 May 2025 as a digital download for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
