Three game Sales Awards were presented by the game association in October. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 won the Multi-Platinum Award for selling more than 600,000 units, while a Switch-exclusive game and a 3D arena fighter also received awards for outstanding sales in Germany.

Three games released in October 2024 have been honoured by game - the German Games Industry Association with game Sales Awards for outstanding sales success in Germany. Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 broke through the 600,000 unit mark in Germany shortly after its release, receiving a Multi-Platinum Award. Its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (release: 10 November 2023), reached this milestone in December 2023.

Nintendo secured a Platinum Award for 200,000 units sold of the Switch-exclusive Super Mario Party Jamboree. 3D arena fighter Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero from Bandai Namco Entertainment achieved a Gold Award for more than 100,000 units sold.

The game Sales Awards are based on sales figures from the Video Games Europe industry panel GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that have sold more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany in the first twelve months after launch are eligible to receive a game Sales Award in the Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum or Multi-Platinum categories.
