Dead by April, Within Destruction, As December Falls, Grailknights - and Coldmirror: The second Nexus Festival in September has introduced the first bands and stars for the Nerd meets Rock meets Medieval Market event in Leipzig.
From 18-20 September 2026, the Nexus – Nerd Rock Festival will return for its second edition at the agra Messepark Leipzig.
The event combines a nerd and gaming convention, a rock/metal festival, and a medieval market on one site. Last year’s first edition already saw a respectable band lineup, but this year’s has some especially well-known bands, of which the organisers have now announced the first few:
As a creator highlight, Kathrin Fricke alias Coldmirror is expected as special guest.
2025’s premiere had around 7,500 attendees over three days, and the organisers expect the festival to grow bigger in 2026. About 140 exhibitors are currently confirmed, covering multiple stages, a medieval market, gaming areas, nerd and shopping areas, cosplay events, and the concert lineup.
