Nearly 80 games were featured in this year's Wholesome Direct Showcase. Neoludic, Tiny Roar/Daedalic and Microbirds all had longer slots.

It is one of the showcases for indie games from around the world. The Wholesome Direct Showcase was also part of the Summer Game Fest, alongside presentations from Microsoft and others. During the stream on 8 June, nearly 80 productions from around the world were mentioned and some were announced.

Four of the games shown were from the GSA region. While Space Sprouts by Berlin-based Schleuder Games was featured in the extensive trailer compilation at the end, Neoludic from Cologne with Tiny Bookshop, Tiny Roar and publisher Daedalic Entertainment from Hamburg with Into the Emberlands and Vienna-based studio Microbird with Dungeons of Hinterberg received individual presentations to announce trailers, early access releases or the entire game.

This year's Wholesome Direct was sponsored by Neat Corporation, Raw Fury, Soedesco, Impossible, Fellow Traveller and play date.
