Publisher Inin Games and developer Smallthing Studios have released Simon the Sorcerer Origins. Standard Editions are now available in retail outlets and via digital download for Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox and PC. A Limited Special Edition is also available for Switch, PC and PS5.

It's been over three decades since the original Simon the Sorcerer adventure game was released in 1993. Simon the Sorcerer Origins invites players to step back into a world of magic, sarcasm and mystery. In this new narrative, Simon is drawn into a magical world stirred by an ancient prophecy, embarking on a coming-of-age adventure. Long-time fans will be delighted to learn that Chris Barrie (English) and Erik Borner (German) have returned to voice the character.

Ronald Kaulbach, Head of Inin Games: "Our team is absolutely thrilled to welcome Simon the Sorcerer Origins to the Inin family. The Simon the Sorcerer series holds a special place in the history of adventure games and has been instrumental in shaping the genre. It’s a true honour to work alongside Smallthing Studios on a title that not only pays tribute to the legacy of the original games but also invites a whole new generation of players into this magical world."

Massy Calamai, Game Director & Founder of Smallthing Studios: "We are thrilled and moved to officially announce the collaboration between Smallthing Studios and Inin Games for Simon the Sorcerer Origins, in all formats, over thirty years (1993) after its first appearance on Amiga and PC! A heartfelt thanks to all those who have and are working behind the scenes and all those who have waited in the stands. The curtain is opening."

Smallthing Studios was founded in Italy in 2018 by Game Director Massimiliano Calamai and Senior Programmer Stefano Campodall'Orto, and was further strengthened when Senior Manager Alberto Zannol joined the company. The studio is currently working on five cross-platform titles and has begun an expansion plan involving the opening of new headquarters.

Inin Games, a United Games Entertainment label, is a publisher of retro and arcade video games with a strong focus on iconic titles from the '80s, '90s and early 2000s. Inin brings "legendary" games to modern platforms and continues the legacy through new sequels.
