Der koreanische Spieleentwickler und -publisher Smilegate hat die Schließung seiner deutschen Niederlassung in Belin zur Jahresmitte angekündigt. Grund sind Restrukturierungsmaßnahmen.

Smilegate Europe wird geschlossen. Wie der für "Crossfire" bekannte südkoreanische Publisher mitteilt, soll das Berliner Büro Mitte des Jahres aufgelöst werden. Begründet wird der Schritt mit einer neuen Business Strategie, die die Restrukturierung bestimmter Teile der Smilegate-Gruppe zur Folge hat. Auswirkungen auf die Kundenbeziehungen habe die Entscheidung nicht, so Smilegate.
