AEVI Launches Call For Applications For Innovation Grant Program

Spanish studios have until October 20 to register to participate in the eighth edition of the Innovation Grant Program. The shortlist will be announced in early November, and the winner will be announced in mid-November.

This is the eighth time that the Spanish industry association Asociación Española de Videojuegos (AEVI) has run its Innovation Grant Program. "As every year, we are delighted to announce a new call for applications for the 2025 Innovation Grants. We have been working on this for eight years now, and we always see the great talent and enthusiasm of the studies that are submitted," explained AEVI Vice President and Head of Development, Arturo Monedero.

The submission period, which has now begun, ends on October 20. On November 3, AEVI will announce the finalists for this year's program, and on November 17, the winner, who will receive a grant of €10,000, among other prizes.

According to AEVI, around 70 applications were received last year. Since the program started in 2017 AEVI has received 615 project submissions and distributed €80,000 in mentoring, studio support with veteran producers, access to Meet & Match, stands at fairs, and many other benefits for the finalists.
