The Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt (Frankfurt Economic Development Agency) and Games Hub Hessen announced the winner of the mascot competition at the Frankfurt Book Fair: Pauline Lechler is a master's student at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in the field of animation and games.

Although some of Germany's most important studios and publishers are based in Hesse, the state usually only ranks in the middle of the game association's rankings. Various measures are intended to change this, such as the Games Hub Hessen, which was unveiled this year. Now the project is taking shape and gaining visibility. At the Frankfurt Book Fair, Frankfurt Economic Development and Games Hub Hessen selected the winning entry in the current competition, which was designed to find a mascot for Game Hub Hessen.

The prize, worth €2,500, goes to Pauline Lechler, a master's student in animation and gaming at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. “GamesHub provides a dynamic, growing industry with a place to exchange ideas, develop further, and network. We are confident that the new mascot will optimally represent and raise the profile of the Hessian games community and GamesHub at events, online, and in regional communications,” says Bernhard Grieb, Geschäftsführer der Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt.
