Paintbucket Games has not only reached their initial Kickstarter goal for "The Darkest Files" in less than half a day, but also the first stretch goal. The game will now be optimised for Switch and Steam Deck. Additional content is coming when the next stretch goal is reached.

The Kickstarter campaign of Paintbucket Games’ "The Darkest Files" was already a success: five hours in, the initial goal of 10,000 euro was reached as well as the first stretch goal of 15,000 euro have been reached after twelve hours. Paintbucket will thus be able not only to bring the game to Nintendo Switch, but also to optimise it for Steam Deck.

The next stretch goal will be reached at 25,000 euro, at which point the studio wants to include additional content in the game, like leisure dialogue options for characters and an office cat.

Lead Game Designer of "The Darkest Files" is historian Mona Brandt, whom we have portrait recently.
