From 9 December, cloud gaming with Nvidia GeForce Now will utilise 5G+ technology on the Telekom network. Even when the network is busy, Telekom customers should enjoy smooth, low-latency gameplay.
At the heart of the collaboration, announced in August, lies the integration of GeForce Now with Germany's largest 5G+ network. The new element is the end-to-end combination of 5G Standalone - a network slice configured for gaming - and a network technology called 'L4S' (Low Latency, Low Loss, Scalable Throughput). This technology detects network congestion at an early stage and controls data streams to ensure that latency and jitter remain permanently stable and low, even in heavily used mobile cells. This makes Deutsche Telekom the first network operator in Europe to enable latency-optimised mobile gaming for GeForce Now using 5G standalone technology.
A MagentaMobil tariff (from August 2024) and a 5G+ Gaming-compatible device are required. Initially, the 5G+ Gaming option with GeForce Now will be available on the following Samsung models: S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S25, S25+, S25 Edge, S25 Ultra, and Fold 7. Other models, such as the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, will also support the feature shortly. The GeForce Now app is available for free download for Android users from the Google Play Store. The new offer will be available exclusively through the MeinMagenta app from 9 December. Telekom customers will receive three months of free access to the GeForce Now Performance membership. This promotion is available until 23 December 2025.

"With our new Magenta Moments offering, we are combining our strengths to deliver a unique mobile cloud gaming experience on the best network. Thanks to our partnership with Nvidia's GeForce Now platform, gamers on the go can enjoy a smooth gaming experience on Germany's largest 5G+ network," says Axel Orbach, Telekom Deutschland's Managing Director of Private Customers.
"Integrating GeForce Now's advanced RTX cloud platform into Telekom's 5G+ network enables gamers in Germany to enjoy seamless, high-resolution gaming with the shortest response times, revolutionising where and how people play across the country," says Richard Lamond, GeForce Now Director at Nvidia.
GeForce Now offers cloud gaming on a variety of devices and streams from state-of-the-art GeForce RTX gaming systems in the cloud. It supports over 2,300 titles from digital stores such as Steam, Epic Games, Xbox Game Pass, Battle.net, EA and Ubisoft Connect.
