Now in its fourth year, the gaming festival PLAY! Con is celebrating its home in the Rhineland-Palatinate region, inviting gamers, cosplayers, families, and curious visitors to join this year's event. According to organiser Claw Events, the gaming area will reach new heights this year. Participants will include Studio Egosoft (X4: Foundations), server provider Nitrado, and Sparkasse Trier, who will be presenting the game 'Schwein gehabt' (Lucky Pig). "With these innovations, PLAY! Con is not only getting bigger, but also setting new standards for gaming conventions in the region," the statement continues.

However, the centrepiece will be the community zone, where cosplayers, indie developers, and content creators will come together. In the Creative Games Area, gamesAhead Rhineland-Palatinate developers will showcase their latest projects, and the new Synchro Area will feature voice actors such as Julia Casper (Zelda, Frieren) and Dirk Meyer (One Piece). Creators Milschbaum, Papfi and Bisalina will also be providing live entertainment. New this year is the Trading Card Area, which will host Kaiju Cards tournaments.
