Triple-i Initiative 2026: All Announcements

As well as a new Don't Starve game and a new Temtem game, the third Triple-i Initiative showcase featured additional DLC for Risk of Rain 2, and news about Castlevania, Windrose, and more.

Here is an overview of the announcements:

• Alabaster Dawn from Radical Fish Games will be released in Early Access on 7 May.
• Alkahest from Push On and HypeTrain Digital has released its first gameplay footage.
• Away Team, a spin-off of Oxygen Not Included by Klei Entertainment, will feature co-op multiplayer. Closed single-player sessions will start soon.
• Barotrauma from FakeFish, Undertow Games and Daedalic Entertainment will be expanded with the Home & Harbour DLC in autumn 2026. A trailer was shown.
• Brotato from Evil Empire and Blobfish Games will see the release of the Primal Dread DLC in summer 2026.
• Cairn by The Game Bakers will be expanded this summer with the free On the Trail DLC.
• Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, developed by Evil Empire and published by Konami, showcased new gameplay.
• CloverPit, from Panik Arcade and Future Friends Games, received the Unholy Fusion DLC, as well as a free update, via shadowdrop.
• Crop from Carbonara Games and 11 bit Studios was announced. This dark farming thriller sees the protagonist's life depend on the harvest.
• Dead As Disco by Brain Jar Games will be released in Early Access on 5 May 2026.
• Don't Starve Elsewhere from Klei Entertainment has been announced as an "all-new, uncompromising survival experience", featuring multi-tiered levels and co-op from the outset.
• Everwind from Enjoy Studio and Bohemia Interactive will receive its first Early Access update, The First Ascent, in May.
• Far Far West, the co-op horde shooter from Evil Raptor and Fireshine Games, will launch on Early Access on 28 April.
• Final Sentence, a Battle Royale typewriter game from Button Mash and Polden, has been released as a shadow drop.
• Frostrail from Fakefish and Shiro Unlimited will enter testing on 16 April.
• Graveyard Keeper 2 from Lazy Bear Games and tinyBuild has been announced for PC and consoles, with more graves, a bigger town and the same questionable morality.
• Long Gone, from Hillfort Games and Outersloth, has been announced for release in 2027. The game is an atmospheric 3D pixel narrative adventure.
• Lost Castle 2, a 2D beat 'em up roguelite by Hunter Studio, is coming out on 11 June.
• Lost Railway, from Crossbridge Game Studios and Polden, has been announced. It is a post-apocalyptic 2D co-op horror game.
• Machine Party, from Mike Klubnika and Oro Interactive, has also been announced. It is a collection of brutal party games where failure is fatal.
• Neverway from Coldblood and Outersloth is set to launch on PC and Switch in October 2026. The prologue to this nightmarish life-sim RPG is currently available.
• over the hill by Strelka Games and Funselektor Labs has been added to over a million wishlists. A playtest will take place from 24–26 April. The Algeria biome has been revealed.
• Prove You're Human by sunset visitor and Black Tabby Publishing has been announced. It is a narrative sci-fi adventure from the creator of 1000xResist.
• Rift of the Necrodancer by Brace Yourself Games and Klei Entertainment now features an Undertale music pack.
• Risk of Rain 2 from Gearbox Software, Hopoo Games and 2K Games is set to be expanded with the Hallowed Concepts DLC.
• Romestead, an action-adventure survival game from Beartwigs and Three Friends will be released on Early Access on 26 May.
• Shift At Midnight from Bun Muen and Kwalee launches on 28 May. This online co-op detective horror game is designed for 1–3 players.
• Sledding Game from The Sledding Corporation will launch in Early Access on 30 April.
• Solarpunk from Cyberwave and rokaplay will launch on 8 June for PC and consoles.
• SpaceCraft by Shiro Games will be available in Early Access on 20 May. It is an online space exploration and base-building game.
• Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions, developed by System Era Softworks and published by Devolver Digital, will be available to test in open beta on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in April.
• Super Battle Golf by Brimstone and Oro Interactive is also coming to consoles in summer 2026.
• Temtem: Pioneers has been announced by Crema. This new adventure in the Temtem universe blends creature collecting, survival gameplay, and action combat.
• The Lift, a spooky, story-driven crafting simulator from Fantastic Signals and tinyBuild, is set to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
• Thick as Thieves, developed by OtherSide Entertainment (Warren Spector) and published by Megabit, is set to release on 20 May. This stealth-action heist game has recently shifted from PvPvE to solo and co-op play.
• Too Deep to Quit by Demon Max has been announced.
  Valor Mortis by One More Level and Lyrical Games is coming in autumn 2026.
• Warhammer Survivors by Auroch Digital will be released on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch later this year.
• We Were Here Tomorrow by Total Mayhem Games is available to play via a demo.
• Windrose by Windrose Crew is on over 1.5 million wishlists and will launch in Early Access on 14 April. It is a survival adventure set in an alternate era of piracy.
