Munich-based Chimera Entertainment has announced the launch dates for the Kickstarter campaign and Steam Early Access for their 4X strategy game "Songs of Silence". Both will be in place in just two months' time.

Chimera Entertainment, the Munich-based game development studio, will launch its Kickstarter campaign for "Songs of Silence" on 26 March 2024. After a 30-day Kickstarter, the game will be released on Steam Early Access on 23 May. "The Kickstarter campaign allows us to bring fans into the development process, with the chance to involve themselves more closely in this incredible project. It will also bring extra funding for us to reach the game's next stage of development: Early Access. Here we will be gathering player feedback to balance and fine tune the game ready for final release," says Chimera Entertainment.

"We're incredibly excited to bring "Songs of Silence" to life and share it with players around the world," said Creative Director Alex Kehr. "We believe we have created a truly unique experience which takes the foundations laid by classic titles such as Warlords and Heroes of Might and Magic, and developed them into something entirely new. Songs of Silence promises to be a landmark development in the strategy genre."

During Steams Next Fest October 2023, the demo was ranked among the top 25 games and received widespread attention from players and industry influencers. "Songs of Silence" recently won the "Best Upcoming Playable Game" award at Digital Vikings during DevGAMM Gdansk 2024.

"Songs of Silence" was funded by the FFF Bayern with 500,000 Euros and by the German government's computer games funding programme with almost 1.5 million Euros, at the time under the working title "Realms at War". In addition, almost one million euros has been approved for a DLC pack. Chimera Entertainment employs around 60 people and is one of the largest teams within the international game developer family of remote control productions. Founded in 2006, the team is best known for "Sacred Legends", "Word Wonders: The Tower of Babel" and "Angry Birds Evolution".
