From 5 to 7 April 2024 the second edition of caggtus will take place at the Leipziger Messe. As well as a packed entertainment area and a LAN party, the gaming community event will also feature a recruiting area, an indie games area, lots of exhibitors and more. The event has the support of the Saxony and Leipzig business development corporation.

With the second edition of caggtus, the gaming community can expect a packed gaming festival at the Leipziger Messe. Samsung is once again a partner of the event and will showcase Odyssey monitors as well as a new model. Start-up Nyfter, MSI, MAD Gaming, Alienware, Heo and enviaM will also be present.

Games from independent developers will be on show at the Indie Ground in the Entertainment Area, organised by Games Ground with support from the Saxony Business Development Corporation (Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen), Leipzig's Office for Economic Development, and Ur-Krostitzer. On 180 square metres, visitors can try out more than 20 games and applications and get to know the developers behind them.

"From the founding of Games & XR Mitteldeutschland e.V. with many participants and partners, to R42 as an industry-specific accelerator, to Central German media funding with the MEDIA-Start programme, we are committed to the games industry in the city of Leipzig and want to further strengthen its innovative power," explains Anja Hähle-Posselt, Head of the Office for Economic Development. "Supporting independent games companies is particularly important to us, which is why we are supporting the Indie Ground at caggtus this year."

In addition, there is the Freeplay Area powered by Gisa with 60 fully equipped gaming stations in the Entertainment Area, sponsored by AMD. Once again, the large Event Stage will be packed with daily activities including speedrunning, a cosplay competition and the finals of the LAN tournaments. New this year is the "Find Your Next Game Show" on Friday evening, organised by Webedia, featuring game reveals and gameplay clips.

The festival programme also includes classics such as Mario Kart and Smash Bros, while the latest editions of Farming Simulator from Giants Software will be available to play on almost 400 square metres. The Retro Area is also a must. For the first time, there will be a PnP corner for pen & paper adventures with professional gamemasters. For the first time at caggtus, there will be a recruiting area where companies can present themselves and interested parties can perhaps find their next employer. DHL, DekaBank and Deloitte have already confirmed their participation.

Of course, the LAN party will be back. Nearly 1,500 people attended last year's event, and it will be even bigger this year. The extended LAN area in Hall 1 is practically full with almost 1,900 visitors. Over the next few days, more than 50 kilometres of cable will be laid to ensure that nothing stands in the way of 70 hours of gaming fun.

Content creators such as Maxim from Leipzig, RvNxMango, JustJohnny, Kutcherlol, Baso, Hasi, ronnyberger, Dennsen86, fisHC0p and Giggles will be on site. In addition to the big studio, the creators will also be streaming live and broadcasting the festival feeling on Twitch.

Day tickets, festival tickets for the whole weekend and trade visitor tickets are available at the Leipziger Messe online ticket shop - even during the festival.
