Verkaufserfolg für Electronic Arts: Der Kölner Publisher hat für die PlayStation-2-Version von "FIFA Football 2004" einen VUD-Award in Platin erhalten. Der Verband der Unterhaltungssoftware Deutschland (VUD) vergibt die begehrte Auszeichnung für 200.000 verkaufte Exemplare. "Nachdem wir bereits vom Vorgängerprodukt 'FIFA Football 2003' mehr als 150.000 Stück für die Playstation 2 absetzen konnten, haben wir mit der aktuellen Version nun eine neue Grenze überschritten. Die erstmalige Nominierung von 'FIFA Football' als bestem Sportspiel bei den diesjährigen Game Critics Awards der E3 zeigt uns, dass wir auch mit' FIFA Football 2005' die Qualitätsansprüche unserer Kunden befriedigen werden", sagte Björn Vöcking, Product Marketing Manager EA Sports.
