Zum Weihnachtsgeschäft will Westermann die ersten Titel einer neuen Serie auf den Markt bringen, die Kindern ein spielerisches Erlernen der deutschen und englischen Sprache ermöglichen soll.

Westermann plant eine neue Reihe im Bereich Lernprogramme für die erste und zweite Klassenstufe. Wie der Publisher mitteilte, soll die Serie Ende November mit zwei Titeln gstartet werden: "Pfiffikus 1 - Lernspiele Deutsch" und "Pfiffikus 1 - Lernspiele Frühenglisch". Der Preis für die Produkte liege bei jeweils 24 Euro. Die Software basiere auf einem flexiblen Lernspieltool, das individuell angepasst werden könne. Außer einer Rechtschreibprüfung enthielten die CD-ROMs 48 Lernspiele, wie Memory, Bingo und Lotto. Zudem ermögliche ein Editor, durch Eingabe neuer Wörter Spiele an den jeweiligen Wissensstand anzupassen oder ganz neu zu erstellen.
