What's Next for Warframe and Soulframe
The day before The Game Awards, Digital Extremes will release the next narrative chapter of Warframe, titled The Old Peace, on all platforms. Work on Soulframe is also ongoing, and players have the opportunity to become Founders.
Digital Extremes is set to release the next narrative chapter of Warframe, titled The Old Peace, on 10 December. It will be available for free on all platforms. "We know how important it is to shake things up for a game that's been around for 12 plus years," said Megan Everett, Community Director. "That's been our main goal for these most recent gameplay additions. The Descendia and The Perita Rebellion are two whole new game modes built from the ground up. That, in addition to our new Tauron Strike ultimate abilities, pushes Warframe to go beyond the familiar for us and into fresh territories that feel on par with players' current tastes. The Old Peace looks into Warframe’s past to bring the game itself into the modern era!"

In the new game mode, the Perita Rebellion, players must survive for 12 minutes on the Perita battlefield while completing various challenges to earn temporary upgrades. Before the mission starts, players select one of the five Focus Schools and power up devastating Tauron Strikes for the final encounter.
Uriel is the 63rd Warframe. Digital Extremes: "Fight as the Heretic of Xata with demons at your back. As Uriel, incinerate foes with searing brimstone abilities, and command three fiendish summons to do his devil's work. Earn Uriel for free by collecting the required Blueprints and resources via The Descendia, or instantly unlock Uriel from the Warframe Marketplace with Platinum."

From 16 December until 6 January, it will be possible to gather Marks of Valiance from the Perita Rebellion and other Alert mission completions via the Star Chart map. This new operation is only accessible to players who have completed the 'Old Peace' quest. Last but not least, the closed beta test on Android has started.
TennoCon, the annual celebration of all things Warframe and Soulframe, will also return to Digital Extremes' hometown of London, Ontario from 10 to 11 July 2026. The TennoCon concert will also return to celebrate more than a decade of Warframe's original soundtracks. Tickets will go on sale on 27 February 2026 at 4 p.m. ET.

Speaking of Soulframe: At the end of November, Digital Extremes launched the 12th Soulframe Preludes update, bringing with it a new weapon grip type, a hard mode option and improved new player experiences. Alongside Preludes 12, Digital Extremes is inviting all players to become Founders, with four paths to choose from offering exclusive Pacts, weapons, armour, cosmetics, a Warframe crossover weapon skin and more.
"Warframe would not still be going strong 12 years later without those who supported us at its early foundations," said Geoff Crookes, Creative Director. "Soulframe Founders is us planting some of our biggest roots yet for the future. We've now reached the phase of development where we can welcome people in to help turn those roots into a solid foundation and build something we've all been waiting and hoping for from the ground up. We promise to continue serving this new community for as long as they allow us to, and to install the themes of redemption and hope throughout every aspect of Soulframe."
Soulframe Preludes is the pre-alpha development phase of Soulframe, which allows early players to experiment with the game's systems, explore the world and help to shape its development through feedback. The latest Preludes update introduced Founders' Paths, an optional purchase which allows players to support Soulframe from the ground up, gain instant access to Preludes and share extra access keys with friends, among other benefits.
