Two awards from four nominations would have been possible at the 16th Unity Awards, which were presented today. But the jury decided differently. These are the winners.

In the end, none of the four studios from Germany and Austria managed to win. However, the competition was fierce and the winners certainly deserved their awards.

FINGERS CROSSED

Two Unity Awards Possible for GSA Studios

On October 23 at 7:00 p.m. (CET), the 16th Unity Awards will be presented – for the first time as a livestream on YouTube and Twitch. From a GSA perspective, it's a matter of feverish anticipation, as a studio from Vienna and three from North Rhine-Westphalia are nominated in the games categories.

However, only two awards are possible at most, because the four nominations are spread across the two categories “Best 3D Visuals” and “Most Anticipated Game”. Specifically, Moon Studios from Vienna with “No Rest for the Wicket” (Publisher: Private Division) and Slow Bros. from Cologne with “Harold Halibut” are nominated in the category “Best 3D Visuals”. In the category “Most Anticipated Game”, Screen Juice Interactive from Cologne for “Morbid Metal” and 314 Arts for “Project Z: Beyond Order” (Publisher Maximum Entertainment), among others, can hope to win an award. However, the competition is fierce. There are eight nominations per category, ranging from small indie studios to subsidiaries of international majors.

The Unity Awards are being presented for the 16th time. For the first time, the ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch. Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb and Jackson Stevens are hosting the event today. In addition to the winners, special guests will also be welcomed on the stream. In addition, partners will present new content and reveal new information about upcoming games.
