Dungeons & Dragons Release New Starter Set Format & German Monster Handbook

With their newest Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set, Wizards of the Coast is targeting boardgame fans through familiar tabletop setups. At the same time, the Monster Manual is now available in German, making the full handbook trilogy accessible for the GSA countries.
Today, Wizards of the Coast has released the new Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Starter Set Heroes of the Borderlands in digital format. The set leads new players into the tabletop adventure game with a more boardgame style approach, including cards for equipment and items, layouted maps, playing pieces and other implements for easier understanding. The physical edition of the Starter Set will be available from 30 September in UK and 14 October in the EU. A German version will be released in March 2026.
At the same time, the German version of the Monster Manual is available right now. The Monster Manual had released in a revamped English edition in 2024. Together with the Player Manual and the Game Master Manual, all three current handbooks are now available in German.
