Der Berliner Entwickler und Publisher wooga organisiert sich neu. Statt wie bisher in interne Studios strukturiert wooga seine Development-Teams künftig nach Lebenszyklusphasen. 30 Arbeitsplätze fallen durch die Umstrukturierung weg.

Per Blog hat wooga-CEO Jens Begemann eine Restrukturierung des Berliner Entwicklers und Publishers angekündigt. Im Kern geht es um eine Neuorganisation der Entwicklung. Bisher war die Kreation in Studio-Teams aufgeteilt. Das bedeutet einzelne Teams begleiteten ein Produkt von der Pre-Production-Phase wie Konzeption oder Prototyping über die eigentliche Produktion bis hin zur Post-Launch-Entwicklung von Zusatzinhalten. Künftig orientiert sich die Organisation jedoch an die Produktions- bzw. Lebenszyklusphasen. Ziel ist eine größere Spezialisierung von Teams bspw. bei der Konzeption oder auch dem Live-Betrieb.

Ausschlaggebend für die Umstellung ist, dass sich wooga künftig auf das Segment der Story-getriebenen Casual Games fokussieren will. "Diese Änderungen bedeuten, dass wir ab heute mit circa 30 Mitarbeiten getrennte Wege gehen", verkündet Begemann die Schattenseite der Restrukturierung. Es sei keine leichte, aber eine notwendige Entscheidung gewesen, um das Ziel - Marktführer im Bereich Story-getriebene Casual Games - zu erreichen.
