On 21 November, Sony Interactive Entertainment will release a limited special edition of current PlayStation products. The occasion is the 30th anniversary of the brand. Pre-orders start in September.

The design of the so-called PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection is reminiscent of the early days of the console brand. It was launched on 3 December 1994 and is thus celebrating its 30th anniversary. It was not launched in Western markets until the following year. In the US, the console was launched on 9 September and in Europe on 29 September. Australian gamers had to wait until November.

However, Sony Interactive Entertainment is not making any general regional differences for the anniversary. The special edition will be released worldwide on 21 November. Advance sales will also start worldwide on 26 September.

The PS5 Pro Bundle, the Portal Remote Player and the DualSense Edge Controller in the respective 30th Anniversary Limited Edition design will be available for pre-order worldwide. In countries where Sony operates the PlayStation Direct online store, pre-orders will be available via PlayStation Direct. In countries without this option, customers can order the special edition via participating retail partners. However, the PS5 Digital Edition Bundle and the DualSense wireless controller from the collection are only available via PlayStation Direct. The Digital Edition Bundle will not be available for pre-order until 10 October.
