At the pitch competition of games stipendiate Press Start by Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur at Games Ground Berlin 2025, indie studio 4bpm from Hesse took first spot with the pitch for their upcoming rhythm game Portal to the Cosmobeat. The prize for the first place were business tickets for gamescom 2026.

Apart from being part of the Press Start grant, 4bpm had received special attention this year from the Hessian Ministry of Economics and game Hesse at gamescom 2025, where the studio presented their game at the political reception together with two other Hesse teams, riprip and Technical University Darmstadt.

4bpm was founded by Lua Meyer, Matthias Riemensperger, Mia Schulz and Viola Huber. In a statement to GamesMarket, Huber said about the win and Games Ground 2025 in general: "Games Ground 2025 was a huge opportunity for us. Presenting our game live on stage with PixelViet and Dennsen86 was an unforgettable highlight and allowed us to showcase our vision to a broad and engaged audience. Winning the Press Start Pitch Competition was the perfect finale and secured us business tickets for next year's gamescom. We couldn't be more excited about what's ahead!"

4bpm's next public appearance is also planned as well: From 5 to 7 December, the studio will exhibit their game at No Time To Tilt, one of Germany's biggest Super Smash Bros. tournaments, taking place in Mörfelden-Walldorf.
