Convergence Games Showcase Announced
The Convergence Games Showcase, a new creator-driven indie and AA digital showcase, will premiere at the end of September. Reveals from Kepler Interactive, Fireshine Games, Thunderful Games and many more are planned.
The Convergence Games Showcase will debut on YouTube and Twitch on 26 September at 9pm CEST (3pm EDT/ 12pm PDT/ 8pm BST). Over an hour of carefully curated indie and AA games is promised, with a mix of world premieres, announcements and mini-playthroughs from dozens of studios including The Arcade Crew (The Last Spell, Infernax, Young Souls), Miju (The Planet Crafter), Yogscast Games (PlateUp, Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers) and Secret Mode (A Little to the Left, Still Wakes the Deep). Indie-supported content creators have teamed up to guide viewers through Convergence's line-up of over 30 titles - such as ESO Danny, Dexbonus or Wanderbots.
Behind the project is Fourth Floor, a global games marketing services company founded in 2017. The video production is provided by Explosive Alan Productions, also part of the Fourth Floor Group. "Convergence delivers on its name by bringing together two key elements: exciting new video games from innovative developers, and trusted advocates for indies," said Dan Maher, Editorial Director at Explosive Alan Productions, a Fourth Floor company. "Content creators are at the forefront of bringing groundbreaking games to their audiences, putting indie treasures and AA gems in front of players. Convergence Games Showcase unites these recognised content creators and their loyal audiences with the best new games from established publishers, debuting studios and self-funded solo developers."
Wanderbots, a YouTube content creator and one of the hosts, said: "I am so pleased to be part of the first Convergence, helping to bring something fresh to games showcases. I can't wait to share the announcements and updates from the great indie and AA studios that we have in store for you. Join us on Thursday, September 26!"
