Copilot for Gaming: Microsoft has announced an AI-powered gaming companion that will help players "play faster," make recommendations, help when they get stuck, and provide a more social gaming experience.

On The Official Xbox Podcast, Fatima Kardar (Xbox Corporate Vice President of Gaming AI) introduced Copilot for Gaming, which Xbox Insiders will soon be able to test on mobile. This AI-driven sidekick is designed to be a personalised "gaming companion". It should help find games with personalised game recommendations, provide coaches to improve skills, and connect players with friends and communities. The player should remain in control, ensuring that it enhances rather than disrupts the gaming experience.

"Gaming is the only form of entertainment where you can get stuck," Kardar said in the podcast. "So that's where you want something to show up to say, 'let's help you get past that.'" Kardar emphasised that Copilot for Gaming aims to solve the problem of time management, helping players spend less time on tasks like searching, downloading, and updating and more time on playing games. "Whether it's connecting players with games they're likely to enjoy or reminding you where you left off on an old favorite, Copilot for Gaming is set to make gaming with Xbox more seamless and personalized", Microsoft said.
