Sony Computer Entertainment wird laut US-Analyst Colin Sebastian noch in diesem Monat den Endkundenpreis bei PlayStation 2 senken.

Für den US-Markt kündigt US-Analyst Colin Sebastian eine Preissenkung der PlayStation 2 von derzeit 149 auf dann 129 Dollar an.

Als Indizien dienen sowohl Hinweise aus der Industrie als auch die Tatsache, dass die letzte Preiskorrektur bereits fast zwei Jahre zurückliegt. So soll die Preissenkung u.a. dazu beitragen, Microsofts Xbox 360 bis zum PlayStation-3-Launch im November dieses Jahres auf Abstand zu halten.
