Germans and their love of economic simulation RTS games – this is once again evident in the latest games charts published by the industry association game. Two new entries have made it into the top three best-selling games. But while Call of Duty is the highest new entry in November in all other Western markets, in Germany it is Anno 117: Pax Romana. This speaks volumes, both in terms of German gamers' love for one of Germany's most successful IPs, but also in terms of the acceptance of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which lags far behind its predecessors due to the success of Battlefield 6, at least as far as the launch is concerned.

This deeply German ranking is only surpassed by the new old number one: EA Sports FC 26 returns to the top of the charts, putting soccer back on the throne. Battlefield 6, which debuted at number 1 last month, falls back to 4th place. The big question in terms of shooters is likely to be answered in the coming months: will Battlefield or Call of Duty stay ahead in the long term?
