The game association has collected employee numbers on the biggest game development and publishing companies in Germany. For easier visual comparison, GamesMarkt has compiled the numbers into one free to use graphic.

The German Games Industry Association game has published data on the biggest gaming companies in Germany. The data is gathered from the game Association online service gamesmap, and ranks the companies with the most employees from the development and publishing space.

GamesMarkt has compiled the data provided into this graphic. The graphic is free to use and share unadapted. Download it here.

The numbers include full and part time employees as well as marginally employed people. They are missing the numbers on companies that have not put their employee numbers in their gamesmap company profile.

The game has also shared some interesting adjacent statistics. For example, that since 2020 most game companies have been founded in Bavaria, Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia. In combination with related fields such as the retail, media and academic areas, the German games industry provides over 30,000 jobs according to their data.
