Der kanadische Grafikchiphersteller ATI kann für das beendete 3. Quartal zwar eine Umsatzsteigerung ausweisen, der Gewinn brach dem Unternehmen aber weg.

Grafikchiphersteller ATI hat das 3. Geschäftsjahresquartal zum 31. Mai mit 530 Mio. Dollar Umsatz (+ acht Prozent) und einem Verlust von gut 400.000 Dollar beendet. Im Vorjahr konnten noch 49 Mio. Dollar Gewinn verbucht werden. Von dem Ergebnis zeigte sich ATI-CEO David Orton enttäuscht. Hoffnung auf bessere Zeiten machen dem Unternehmen die Lizenzdeals für die Grafikchips von Xbox 360 und Nintendo Revolution. Für das 4. Quartal geht ATI von einem Umsatz zwischen 550 und 580 Mio. Dollar aus.
