Der Umsatz des US-Buchhändlers Barnes & Noble stagniert und die Verluste wachsen. Lediglich die Games- und Home-Entertainment-Sparte vermeldet Positives.

Die US-amerikanische Buchhandelskette Barnes & Noble hat im 3. Quartal einen Verlust von 6,8 Mio. Dollar eingefahren. Im Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahrs hatte der Betriebsverlust noch 5,17 Mio. Dollar betragen. Der Gesamtumsatz stieg nur moderat auf 995,6 Mio. Dollar (Vorjahresquartal: 951,8 Mio. Dollar). Die Games- und Home-Entertainment-Sparte von Barnes & Noble, GameStop, konnte jedoch einen Umsatzanstieg um 8,6 Prozent auf 199 Mio. Dollar verbuchen (Vorjahresperiode: 183,2 Mio. Dollar).
