The rcp family continues to grow. Black Cube Games, an indie studio from the Netherlands, joins the group. The team of ten has a Persian background and is relocating to Europe after working together for over a decade. CEO Ali Boroumand is already based in the Netherlands. As part of the rcp family, Black Cube will work on its own IP as well as supporting internal and external studios in the work-for-hire sector.
"Joining the RCP family allows us to focus more effectively on internal projects we're very excited about, while also granting us access to invaluable industry insights and connections," said Boroumand. "RCP's values and vision in today’s volatile world strongly aligns with ours and joining RCP empowers us to express our voice and identity through our games."
"We have always tried to make games that we love to play and we have tried to benefit from Persian culture in this way. Joining RCP enables us to pursue this path with greater efficiency and velocity," said Amin Shahidi, studio director. Their previous title "The Tale of Bistun" is based on the history and mythology of Persia and has to do with a stonemason with amnesia on his journey to the slopes of Mount Bistun.
Remote Control Productions (rcp) was founded in 2005. It is the parent company of the rcp family, a group of 16 companies that develop video games and provide game-related services.
