In the physical sales charts for the first half of 2024, it is no surprise that EA Sports FC 24 is the clear leader in Europe, followed by two titles from Nintendo. The situation is similar in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

According to a cross-platform half-yearly analysis by GfK Entertainment, EA Sports FC 24 was the most successful game in Europe in the first six months of 2024, although GfK only tracks sales of physical editions (no digital downloads). The Electronic Arts game took first place in all 17 countries surveyed, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe from Nintendo came in second and third. GTA 5, Hogwarts Legacy, NHL 24 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 also made the top three in some European countries. Princess Peach: Showtime! took third place in Austria.

In the separately compiled German half-yearly charts, which are broken down by platform, EA Sports FC 24 topped the charts on PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X|S. Super Mario Bros. Wonder dominated the Switch charts, while Farming Simulator 22 topped the PC charts ahead of the classic Command & Conquer Ultimate Collection.
