btf Announces Publishing Agreement for Lose Ctrl from Play From Your Heart

The game Lose Ctrl by Berlin based developer Play From Your Heart has found a publisher: btf. This is also btf's first attempt at indie game publishing.

This is btf's first foray into game publishing: btf publishes the game Lose Ctrl from the Berlin based developer Play From Your Heart. The game was released in Early Access in November 2023. The full release is planned together with the support of btf GmbH. "The Award winning game about the repetitive everyday workday will be an enrichment of our portfolio and we are looking forward to support this newly founded team to their first game launch," said Robert May, Producer Games Department at btf. "We are very happy to help this young team doing their first steps in the industry. With Lose Ctrl the team developed a game that embodies the creativity and originality that we are looking for in our publishing partners."

btf Games is a game developer and part of btf (bildundtonfrabrik), an independent production company that creates fiction, shows, documentaries, games and commercials. Based in Berlin and Cologne with colleagues all over Europe, btf Games is currently working on two games: Constance and The Berlin Apartment. The Berlin office is part of the indie collective "Saftladen".

"The btf has already proven that they are a successful developer and that they know what they are doing, now trust them to bring the same effort into publishing," said Martin J. Apple, founder and CEO of Play From Your Heart UG. "We are pleased to become part of that cosmos and hope that Lose Ctrl will fit into the quality of btf's other Games and we are excited to see the players of btf Games experience the crazy world we've created." Play From Your Heart is a small indie studio founded in Berlin by Martin Jeremiah Apple. In 2023, the studio released Lose Ctrl in Early Access, which went on to win the Deutscher Computerspielpreis in the "Best Game Design" category in 2024.
